Teledyne Storm Microwave has been providing wire, cable, and interconnect solutions since Al Storm founded the company in the early 1950s. One of the early pioneers in the wire and cable distribution business, Teledyne Storm Microwave was among the first to offer value-added services as part of the distribution activity—delivering just what the customer wanted, when they wanted it. Teledyne Storm Microwave soon moved from distribution to manufacturing and, in the late 1970s, Storm Products expanded its operations to include microwave cable and cable assembly products.

Teledyne Storm Microwave’s space flight heritage began in the 1990s when one of Teledyne's military/aerospace customers independently performed space qualification testing on the cables. Since 2010, TSM has dedicated design, engineering, test, qualification and documentation resources to specifically service a growing list of military and commercial space customers. These customers include most of the major US defense contractors and a growing number of Low Earth Orbit and small satellite companies.

For over 35 years, Teledyne Storm cables have been the design-in choice of program design engineers for many mission critical applications.

Teledyne Storm cables are selected for attributes that include phase stability with temperature change, mechanical robustness when exposed to extreme environmental conditions, extended flex-life, and low attenuation for a given cable diameter to be installed in constricted space.

TSM cable can be offered in a number of constructions related to jacket materials, center conductor, dielectric core, outer conductor, and protective braid, as well as in a range of outer diameters based on your desired RF performance compliance requirements. Phase matching​ of assemblies is available on request.
